Each club requesting membership in the CT Ski Council must have an organization governed by their own club constitution and by-laws.
Officers of your club will have to meet with CT Ski Council Officers and representatives of the member clubs at one of our regular monthly meetings. This meeting will have to be planned ahead of time because the meetings are run according to an agenda.
If your club meets minimum qualifications your club’s officers will be invited to a specific regular monthly meeting of the Council where Officers of the Council and Officers / representatives of the Council’s Member Clubs will ask question of your club’s officers. After that discussion, a vote will be taken by the Member Club’s officers / representatives and this vote may occur at this meeting or a subsequent meeting.
Some of the minimum requirements for being a Member Club include:
- Mandatory participation by Member Clubs in Council Activities on an annual basis.
- Attendance by your club’s representatives at the monthly meetings.
- Payment of yearly dues by your club to the Council. (The dues amount is based on the number of members in your club.)
This above list is not exhaustive and no club is guaranteed entry into the CT Ski Council as a member club.
The CT Ski Council has its own by laws and constitution which sets forth rules for its activities. The CT Ski Club History & Constitution can be found here.
